Support The Shorts: Mailchimp Sponsors SXSW Short Film Awards

Now in its third year, Mailchimp’s Support the Shorts initiative seeks to shine a spotlight on the short films that often don’t receive the same level of attention or recognition as their feature length counterparts. In the past, Mailchimp provided an online platform for these films when SXSW was unexpectedly canceled due to covid, worked with film industry non-profits to provide festival access to underserved commu nities, and sponsored awards to both celebrate and reward these exceptional short filmmakers.

This year, Mailchimp is pleased to sponsor the SXSW Short Film Awards by providing all the monetary prizes to the winners of each short film category as chosen by the SXSW Awards juries.

Additionally, the programming teams at Mailchimp and Oscilloscope Laboratories will be selecting one winner from the three Academy Award qualifying sections (Narrative Shorts, Documentary Shorts, Animated Shorts) to receive the Support the Shorts Award, which carries a monetary award in the amount of $25,000. The Samsung Galaxy House will close on a high note today with a final Superstar Panel from Colombian singer Sebastián Yatra. The activation, open now at Smash ATX, houses breathtaking immersive experiences with Instagram-worthy photo opportunities, refreshments, and product displays in which visitors can test out the advanced features of the Samsung Galaxy S22 camera.

Sebastián Yatra will sit down for an intimate discussion about his recent successes at 1pm CT. Yatra’s music, ranging from pop to reggaeton, has helped to bring Spanish ballads back to the mainstream and earned him recognition from Billboard, the Latin GRAMMY Awards, and more. SXSW wristband holders can attend on a first-come, first-served basis.

White Claw® Hard Seltzer is bringing something entirely new and different to the hard seltzer category with the launch of White Claw® Surf. White Claw® Surf is a collision of flavors for sensational refreshment available in Citrus Yuzu Smash, Tropical Pomelo Smash, Watermelon Lime Smash, and Wildberry Acai Smash.

To celebrate the launch of White Claw® Surf, the brand launched a campaign called “Surf Like No Other” in partnership with professional surfers Ivy Miller, Hunter Jones and Blair Conklin to experience surf like never before. The surfers proved that it’s possible to surf anywhere, from snowy hills and sand dunes to fountains, canals, rivers and lakes around the U.S. The Surf Tour series that is shared on the surfer’s social channels as well as the brand’s social channels.
