After a few days on Netflix, Avatar: The Last Airbender has climbed the charts and is now currently number 1 on Netflix and the most popular Netflix TV series in the U.S.

Licensed titles rarely reach the top of the charts, but it's especially good to see Avatar: The Last Airbender reached number one, given Netflix's interest in the future of the franchise.

The series reached number one on Netflix in the U.S. on May 19, 2020 and has since reached number 1 on May 20 and now on May 21.

The series was chosen by Netflix in the US for release on May 15, 2020. The popular children's series Nickelodeon first aired on Nickelodeon in 2005. As we mentioned, the interest is the fact that Netflix is ready to make a series live action in the coming years with the original creators involved.

The series drops Dead to Me in first place, which has topped the U.S. (and other regions) list since its second season, released on May 8, 2020.

The series has been at the top of the charts since May 20

Despite increasing in the United States, the series has not experienced a similar increase in other countries. In most regions, they have transmitted Avatar: The Last Airbender but we wondered if an increase in social media conversations would raise the profile of programs internationally. This does not seem to be the case.

Obviously, this will likely trigger requests for Netflix to pick up the later series The Legend of Korra, which is currently not being streamed on Netflix. However, Netflix's NX account acknowledged that it existed last week.
