Sad news: classic period Mad Men is leaving Netflix in early June 2020. This ravishing piece follows the lives of people involved in a hedonistic advertising agency in New York. In 2007-2015, the program has had a home on Netflix since 2015. But, not for much longer.
We know it won't really relieve the pain, but if you want to know where to find your favorite Mad Men Netflix actors, here they are …
Jon Hamm, AKA Don Draper
The protagonist of the program: the well-functioning advertising executive, Donald Draper. Despite his womanizing, drunken and bad behavior, you can't help but fall in love with him. Under this perfectly adequate exterior, this Korean War veterinarian has some dark secrets.
If you’re craving more Jon Hamm, he’s almost a Don Draper these days Black mirror Special, White Christmas (2014). He plays the killer, The Falcon, in Wet Hot American Summer: First day of camping (2015). Hamm also stars scary Reverend Richard Wayne Gary Wayne on Netflix Original, The unbreakable Kimmy Schmit (2015-2020).
Elisabeth Moss, also known as Peggy Olson
Don may be the protagonist, but Peggy is the real hero of Mad Men. She arrives at Sterling-Cooper as a nineteen-year-old, fresh out of Miss Deaver's secretarial school. Unhappy with her role as secretary, Peggy overcomes sexism and almost constant setbacks to become the agency's first female writer. As your career and character develop, so does your wardrobe.
The biggest role for Elisabeth Moss on Netflix in the U.S. right now is the female protagonist of artistic suspense, The person I love (2014). She plays Mark Duplass as a couple trying to resurrect their marriage. Moss also star Get him to the Greek as Aaron Green's girlfriend (Jonah Hill).
UK fans can watch Elisabeth Moss in one of her most notable appearances: Detective Robin Griffin in Top of the Lake (2013). They can also enjoy one of Moss's first performances. At sixteen, she played victim of schizophrenic burns, Polly, in the 1999 classic Girl interrupted.
John Slattery, also known as Roger Sterling
His name may be in the lobby, but Roger Sterling is much more interested in parties and beautiful women than ever in advertising. Despite his (many) flaws, there is still something adorable about this aged snow-haired advertiser.
You can see John Slattery next to Mad Men co-star Jon Hamm in Hot and wet American summer: first day of camping. Netflix subscribers in the UK can also pick you up in the media bio, Spotlight (2015).
Christina Hendricks, also known as Joan Holloway
Joan is the queen bee in Sterling Cooper: the company literally cannot operate without her. Of course, her beauty and femininity means that her intelligence and business acumen are completely ignored. She is Roger Sterling's long-term love interest and is a mentor to Peggy.
Christina Hendricks leads a leading role on Netflix Original Good Girls (2018-present). She plays the suburban mother, Elizabeth “Beth” Boland, who organizes a robbery at her local grocery store. Hendricks also plays Lona's mother in the original Netflix movie, Candy Jar (2018).
Out of the originals, Hendricks plays Connie Greiger in the eccentric Christmas movie, Pottersville.
Vincent Kartheiser, also known as Peter Campbell
Over Mad Men, we catch glimpses of the human side of promising account manager Pete Campbell. In general, however, he is a thin, flattering man who does everything to stand out.
Vincent Kartheiser stars in biopic America's most hated woman (2017) as the son of Madalyn Murray O'Hair, William J. “Billy Boy” Murray. Kartheiser also appears as the villain in the thriller American Hangman (2019).
January Jones AKA Betty Draper
She is not a beautiful woman, but distant. Their relationship is undeniably toxic, but there is something extremely attractive about them as a couple.
It may have been canceled after one season, but you can take January Jones as a persistent skateboarding mom in the 2020 figure skating drama, Spinning off. She also has a small role in the comedy drama, Bandits (2001)
UK subscribers can see it in the third installment of the American Pie franchise, American Wedding (2001) Jones plays Cadence Flaherty, love interest from Stifler and Finch.
Jared Harris, AKA Lane Pryce
Joining the cast in season three as the company's financial controller, Lane quickly ends up in a selection of tough spots. He's not a bad guy, but he regularly exercises questionable judgment.
Jared Harris starred in the first seasons of Netflix Original The crown like King George VI (who is the queen's father). He also played wild tugboat captain Mike Clark in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
Kiernan Shipka, AKA Sally Draper
Don and Betty Draper's sassy daughter. She's a good girl, but her parents' tumultuous relationship makes her understandably upset.
Still only twenty years old, Kiernan Shipka recently starred in the titular role of the Netflix reboot, Sabrina's chilling adventures (2018-present). You can also catch her in horror The silenceand christmas movie Let it Snow (both Netflix originals in 2019).
